Taapsee Pannu supports Tanushree Dutta in sexual assault allegations against Nana Patekar

We all know that Tanushree Dutta come back to industry after 10 years and Give a sexual assault allegations against senior actor Nana Patekar. While some of the Bollywood Industry members including Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Richa Chadha, Swara Bhaskar, Renuka Shahane, Raveena Tandon, Anurag Kashyap and Konkona Sen among others have came forward and supported Tanushree, others including Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan haven’t yet addressed the issue.




The New celebrity to raise her voice and extend support to Tanushree is Taapsee Pannu. While she was last seen in Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan alongside Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee is much respected for her role in Pink that essentially revolved around consent and sent out a message that no means no.

In an interview with the Times of India, Taapsee shared her opinion and made it clear that neither does she doubt her intentions nor she thinks it’s too late for her to speak up. She has been quoted as saying, “I won’t question her why didn’t she raise her voice then or why to raise the issue now. From whatever I have read, I think she did come out before but her voice was silenced.”



Taapsee went on to say that Tanushree has come back again and “I don’t want to look at or doubt her intentions” adding “it happened and we have a valid proof of the fact that it happened. Beyond this, it doesn’t even matter to me if she decides to raise her voice after 10 or 40 years. “

To the people who are terming it a publicity stunt, Taapsee made no bones in saying that no one enjoys revisiting the trauma. She told the portal, “She is standing up and facing every question. I don’t understand why a woman will put herself and her family in that position revisiting the trauma. It’s not something you enjoy. Therefore, I really don’t doubt her intentions.



On being asked why she didn’t share her opinion on social media this time, Taapsee said, “It’s just that I didn’t put up one tweet because I really don’t think in one tweet, I can justify what I felt about the entire matter. “
